I
was a guest artist again this year in the Kemper Tool booth at The
NCECA Convention. This year it was held in a beautiful venue in downtown
Indianapolis, IN. NCECA is short for The National Council on Education
for the Ceramic Arts. Potters are a fun bunch.
As
a guest artist in the Kemper Tool booth I demonstrated a wide variety
of tools as I sculpted a very odd foot in water-based clay. It was
fun to work in earth clay for a weekend. It was sort of like playing
in the mud. I loved doing that as a child so it came naturally. The
potters enjoyed watching my odd Foot-Face take shape over the three
days of the convention. I thought it was great fun too!
