I used this piece to discover the advantages and disadvantages of using pourable paper mache products. I took a plaster mold of a porcelain doll I had sculpted, and poured it in liquid mache. I then changed the position of the arms entirely when it was leather-hard, to see if it was possible to do. It was.
I found the finished product of liquid mache to be comparable to that of old composition dolls. It is not my favorite look personally ... but it is nice to know I can achieve it if I need to in the future. This doll is large for me. She is 26 inches tall when she is standing.
