A collector who collected old fairy tales commissioned Little Daylight. The tale is very much like Sleeping Beauty. Fairies give the new little princess blessings for her happiness. While an evil fairy is angry she was not invited to the party. She shows up and gives her evil blessing ... but it is partially counter acted by the last wish of a good fairy.

Little Daylight is only allowed to be out in the moonlight. She grows more beautiful as the moon becomes full, but her beauty and health wane when the moon is less than full. One night as she dances in the meadow in the moonlight, a handsome prince falls in love with her as he hides behind a bush and watches. Eventually, he kisses her and breaks the evil spell.
