A really cute little girl I know inspired this sculpture. What a funny little personality she has! You can see by this piece that I know how to sculpt teeth. Most of my work is too small to show that talent of mine. Before I married and had a family, I was a dental crown and bridge technician. I specialized in porcelain crowns and bridges, so teeth are fun to sculpt for me. Lauren has a beautiful smile, and that is what I tried to capture. Below is the story that went with the piece.

The atmosphere is exciting. The curtain rises. The music starts to play. This is what all the lessons prepared her to do. She loves her fancy costume that Mommy made. She loves the lights and all the attention. Lauren beams as she dances to the music. Part of her charm is that she doesn't remember all the steps, and is doing her own dance, so are most of the other little girls in her class. Lauren loves being on stage! The little troop is enchanting, and everyone in the audience is smiling - especially her Mom and Dad, and Aunt Sue!
