This year I tried free sculpting in porcelain clay. The Blue Fairy was sculpted in one piece accept for the hair and wings. The hair is mohair. The wings were cut out of sheet copper with a jeweler's saw and filled with suncatcher paint. She lays dreaming on a ceramic mushroom I purchased at an art fair in Luguna. There is a baby mushroom that goes with the piece. They stick in indoor plants.

The fairy is 3 1/2 inches long with legs curled and 2 1/2 inches tall. The large mushroom is about 18 inches tall. The baby mushroom is about 10 inches tall.
